How to Have More Fun and Enjoyment in Your Life
Everybody wants to have fun and enjoy life... but for a lot of people, it's a tought thing to accomplish. Here are ten tips to help you get on the path to more fun today
Many people want to have more fun in their lives, but they find it difficult to do so. It is, however, so easy to enhance your pleasure anytime you want. The sky is the limit! For me, listening to La Boheme watching a sun set, reading the history of the Roman Empire, coaching people, or dancing swing are only a few of the many ways I have fun.
Here are some ideas to help you add some fun and enjoyment to your life:
1. Decide to have fun.
If you don't decide to have fun, you can't have it. If you decide to be miserable, no one can cheer you up. If you decide to have fun, no one can spoil it.
2. Look at familiar things in new ways.
You can find so many fascinating things in your life. Be a 3 year old. Isn't it amazing that you can smell the earth when it starts to rain?
3. Get rid of things you do not like.
You know why. Don't do it if you don't enjoy it. There is always someone who loves to do what you don't like. Spend more time at what you like and enjoy it, heartily!
4. If you can't get rid of things you don't like, find a way to have fun with them.
If you can't get rid of things you do not like, find a way to love them. There are always ways to have fun if you commit to it. For example, many people don't like working out. It is painful and time-consuming. If you can work out with your friends, it is much more fun, and your friends can benefit, too.
5. Pretend to be having fun.
There is an old saying: "Fake it till you make it." If you are mentally depressed, you cannot enjoy anything. If you smile, however, it is very difficult to be depressed at the same time. Move your body vigorously with a big smile and pretend that you are having fun. If you can't move around too much (say at your work), just dance with your upper body. Everyone at your office will think that you just won a million dollars!
6. Say that you are having fun aloud.
If you say it aloud, your body and brain will start believing it. Try saying "I love it!" with a passion. You will love it.
7. Share the fun with your family, friends, and everyone around you.
Whatever you think is fun, talk about it to your family or friends, or anyone. The more people whom you involve in your fun, the more enjoyment you will get from it.
8. Find your passion and act on it.
You can be passionate about anything, if you want. It is much better, however, to find or choose what you really love to do.
9. Enjoy the process; don't hold back your enjoyment till you reach your goal.
You want to enjoy every second of your life. Don't wait till tomorrow. You don't know whether a big meteor will hit the earth before you wake up tomorrow morning. Enjoy the process, now.
10. Always thank yourself.
Whatever happens --- good or bad --- thank yourself. If you appreciate yourself, you will have more enjoyment in your life.
